I met Grace on Pinterest 3 or so years ago. Somehow, she stumbled upon my account and we started talking and became fast friends. We shared a love for Jesus and a love for horses. We had gotten closer when she made an Instagram account (@gloryl0ve) and we started talking more, facetime'd and texted. I've considered her one of my best friends for quite awhile now and we had been trying to find a way to meet for months and months...then, she texted me and said that her family would be passing through my neck of the woods yesterday evening and wanted to know if we could meet up.
Obviously, I said YES! and we met up at a Starbucks for the first time ever yesterday!
I warned my parents ahead of time and said that I was going to go insane when I got out of the car and that Grace probably would, too, so mom had her camera ready and of course, we both got out of the car screaming and yelling and hugged. One person commented and said, "I swear, it looks like y'all have known each other for years and had been separated for years!" because it seriously didn't feel like we had never actually met in person.
Who says you can't meet good friends online? ;)

| I am also the shortest person. Ever. |
It was a very short visit since they had to get home before it got too late (they live in Kentucky so still had quite a drive ahead of them.) but it was great to finally meet - now we must do it again and soon! But yeah, this is why I was silent for most of yesterday, haha!
(And I was very happy she wasn't an old man hiding behind a computer.)

This is SO special!!! I'm glad y'all could meet!!! <3
ReplyDeleteAw, how fun that you got to see Grace in person! :D By the way, how tall are you? I'm 5'1"ish, and all my pictures with friends look like the one of you two (except for the ones that are even taller!). Haha.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I'm 5'1ish as well!
DeleteHow amazing! I have yet to meet any of my internet friends. And I'm so happy for you both. Literally smiling on the other end of the screen. :) Anyway, good friends are hard to find and glad you have one.
ReplyDeleteKalin Ann! What a darling blog! I am writing because you left a note for me on my blog, Bay State Brumby. Thanks for reading! You asked about that wonky tripod I was using, the kind you can wrap around trees and stuff! I got it at an L.L.Bean store in Maine, but I bet they have it on their website. It was only $30!!
ReplyDeleteYay! Thanks so much!!!!
